Question by SCDMD: Italian Wines and other things to do in Tuscany?
Im going to Italy for 1 week this summer. I want to explore as much of Tuscany as possible. What vineyards should i try and tour? What else should i try to do in Tuscany or surrounding regions? I am looking for a laid-back trip.

Your only about an hour away from Florence and I would recommend checking out the Central Market, which is in the middle of the picturesque street market of San Lorenzo; see displays of olive oil, pastas, herbs, and red wine. Here is a list of a handful of other “must see sights” in Florence: http://www.monogramstravel.com/local-host-picks/florence/

Must-see is the Zoan di Montalcino: great places and excellent wines (the famous Brunello di Montalcino) http://www.consorziobrunellodimontalcino.it/en.html
Not far away is another beautiful town with excellent wines http://www.consorziovinonobile.it/main.php?lang=ENG
I suggest you also take a tour in Pienza and to taste Pecorino di Pienza (great cheese)
It’s Very beautiful also the area of Val d’Elsa (San Gimignano is beautiful) and the Chianti area.
Next year if you go back to Italy I suggest you also visit my region: Umbria (Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia, Spello, ..) Buona vacanza in Toscana!!
